San Francisco-based Ripple has teamed up with UK payment company Clear Junction to enhance the efficiency and security of payouts in British pound and euro denominations.
Cassie Craddock from Ripple emphasized the synergy between the two companies, highlighting Clear Junction’s ability to support Ripple’s existing use cases and foreseeing further evolution in their partnership.
Clear Junction’s acquisition of British cryptocurrency firm Altalix last September aimed to strengthen its position in the crypto market, recognized by the Financial Times as one of Europe’s fastest-growing companies earlier this year.
Although Clear Junction previously severed ties with Binance amid UK regulatory actions in September 2021, it remains a notable player in the payment sector.
Ripple’s co-founder Chris Larsen and head of policy Susan Friedman have commended the UK’s crypto-friendly environment, with CEO Brad Garlinghouse praising it alongside Japan and Singapore for its regulatory approach. Ripple even contemplated relocating its headquarters to London.
Furthermore, Ripple expanded its University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI) to several European universities last year, emphasizing its commitment to fostering blockchain education and innovation across the continent.
